VEHICLE SUPPORT
At strategic points we have the security of our support vehicle. You will be able to leave extra layers / spare kit etc. here during the day, and you will also be able to stock up on water, snacks and energy products whenever you need a boost.Â
MONEY
We suggest carrying £10.00 – £20.00 and a credit/debit card in-case of emergency. Other expenditure, such as drinks at the bar and a post ride is at your own discretion.
EQUIPMENT
It is essential that you ride a road bike that is in good mechanical order. If you are not mechanically minded, we advise you to take your bike to a local bicycle dealer for a service. Our ride leaders will of course be carrying a tool kit and a selection of spares, which we will provide should the need arise, but please be sure to carry your own basic tool kit, pump, spare tubes, and any specific spare parts you may require for your bike – especially unusual spokes. We also recommend bringing a spare derailleur hanger specifically for your bike. Â
BIKE HIRE
We have a number of different bike hire options available from basic road bikes up to elite bikes. If you require a hire bike for the day please see our website or contact us for more details
INSURANCE
Although not compulsory, it is highly recommended to have a personal accident insurance policy when attending a Just Pedal cycling event. Also, your bike should also be fully covered by some form of insurance policy.
